Founder
The life story of Mohan Lal Shrimali is the story of abject poverty, perpetual struggle, strong determination and ultimately crowing success. Born in a small village near Haldighati, a poor farmer's son graduated from the University of Udaipur and became a teacher. His indomitable spirit was not satisfied with simply teaching the story of Pratap- the great warrior and the freedom fighter, personifying bravery, courage, and sacrifice.Maharana Pratap
Maharana Pratap holds a unique position in the history of India. His unique example of combating the mighty Mughals, with meager manpower is rare in the history of the world. No one can be compared with the invincible Rana, who always held his head high amidst many vicissitudes of life.
Maharana Pratap was born on 9may 1540. He was enthroned in 1572 and struggled for the independence of his motherland and the preservation of Indian values till he breathed his last.
Battle of Haldighati
Haldighati provided Maharana Pratap the best opportunity. He observed that the Mughal forces had camped on a large ground in the valley, which later came to be known as Badshah Bagh. Rana enticed the forces to march towards the treacherous valley, where he had strategically placed the gallant Bhil tribals.
When the Mughal forces marched through the narrow gorge called the Neck of Haldighati, the tribals attacked and butchered them mercilessly. Several attempts of passing the narrow and deep ravine suggested domain names failed as thousands lay slain.
The demoralized Mughal forces were pushed to the wall. The brave and clever Rana then attacked the Mughal camp.
